As a private university, I suppose they can be as bigoted as they want. Glad to hear the students and the city are fighting it.
Funny that the article classifies Nashville as a "conservative, Bible Belt city." Wonder when the last time Nashville elected anybody without a (D) after their name was? I'm betting not anytime in recent history.
But I thought if a private university was given any form of federal money it was held to federal standards.
Im not aware of the Belmot situation, just speaking generalities.
